Safety

  • Covid-19

In regards to the current global pandemic, human safety is just as important to me as your animal’s welfare!

Because of this, I will continue to wear a mask at all times during drop-in’s and client meetings. I hand sanitize and disinfect my clothing in between each client. During house sitting I’m willing to take whatever precautions makes you feel safe (wiping down surfaces, providing ventilation, washing linens, etc). Please reach out with any concerns, I will work with you!

  • Pet Diseases

Even outside of the pandemic, I always go above and beyond to ensure the safety and comfort of your furry friends!

I require up-to-date vaccination records for all of my clients, so you can rest assured your pet is safe. I also disinfect between every visit to prevent cross-contamination from other homes.

  • Weather

Both hot and cold weather means that I take special precautions to keep your pets comfortable!

Hot weather: If the heat index is above 80 degrees, I limit the amount of outdoor time with a mix of shorter outdoor walks and indoor enrichment, or choose my paths to allow for frequent shade and water breaks. We stick to grass wherever possible to prevent burnt paw pads, and I keep a close eye on my brachycephalic breeds to limit the risk of heat stroke or exhaustion.

Cold weather: If it is safe for me to drive, I will be sure to reach your animal. Our visits will involve shorter bursts of outdoor time to meet their needs safely. I will bundle your animal in any warm winter gear that is provided, and check your pet’s paws carefully to ensure no snow, ice, or salt remains stuck.
